USC has had five number one draft picks: Ron Yary, O.J. Simpson, Ricky Bell, Keyshawn Johnson, and Carson Palmer. UCLA has only had one number one draft pick which is Troy Aikman. So USC has had four more number one draft picks.
Quarterback Troy Aikman (UCLA) was drafted first in the 1989 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys.
Offensive Tackle Ron Yary (USC) was drafted first in 1968 by the Minnesota Vikings. Running Back O.J. Simpson (USC) was drafted first in 1969 by the Buffalo Bills. Running Ricky Bell (USC) was drafted first in 1977 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Wide Receiver Keyshawn Johnson (USC) was drafted first in 1996 by the New York Jets. Quarterback Carson Palmer (USC) was drafted first in 2003 by the Cincinnati Bengals.
