Faniacs has created an all-time Power School bracket and ranking. Our criteria are:

1. Number of wins
2. Number of National Championships
3. Consistent high level play
4. Number of Heisman winners
5. Number of Conference Championships
6. Historical Winning Percentage
7. National Championships in the BCS era and now the Playoff Era

The teams were all ranked accordingly. Scores were added up and the lowest score won.

The Alabama Crimson Tide is the third ranked power school of All-Time. Here is how they stacked up against other power schools.

Number of wins: 5
Number of National Championships: 1
Consistent high level play: 1
Number of Heisman winners: 5
Number of Conference Championships: 6
Historical Winning Percentage: 5
National Championships in the BCS era and now the Playoff Era: 1

Alabama is clearly the dominant team of the last decade; however, in our rankings they hurt by the number of wins and lack of Heisman winners. They have only one Heisman winner: running back Mark Ingram. Even then it was the closest vote for the Heisman ever.

They were also hurt by their Conference Championship score; the other top ranked schools were much more dominant.
