We have been writing a lot about Cupcake Games. This week we turn to Yawn Fests: extremely low scoring games. We concentrated on the last twenty years of college football, because low scoring games were often the norm throughout College Football history. College Football has most definitely changed to a higher scoring event than even twenty years ago.

In 2008 Auburn and Mississippi State scored a total of five points with Auburn winning this game 3-2. In 1995 Michigan and Purdue scored a total of five points, Michigan winning 5 to 0.

These teams are tied for 7th place for the lowest scoring game or tied for 3rd for the lowest scoring game. It depends how you count it; but in the last twenty years six games have had less scoring.
