Defensive Tackle Kenneth Sims from the University of Texas was the first pick of the 1982 NFL Draft. Ken was drafted by the New England Patriots.
Ken was a two-time All-American at Texas and won the Lombardi Award his senior year.
Ken played in the NFL for eight seasons, but did not live up to the promise of a first round draft pick.
