Quarterback Drew Bledsoe from Washington State University was the first pick of the 1993 NFL Draft. Drew was drafted by the New England Patriots.

Drew Bledsoe was named started for Washington State in the middle of his freshmen season. He would start for the remainder of his career at Washington State. Over his career he threw for 7,373 yards, 46 TDs, and 34 interceptions. His senior year he threw for 3,246 yards and 20 touchdowns, as well as he was named the Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year.

Drew would forgo his senior year to enter the 1993 NFL Draft where he was drafted by the New England Patriots. Bledsoe had a 14-year career in the NFL. He played for New England, Buffalo, and Dallas. He was a four-time Pro Bowler. Over his NFL career he threw for 44,611 yards, 251 TDs, and 206 interceptions.

However, he might be best known as being replaced by Tom Brady in 2001 at first due to an injury and then due to Brady’s performance.

Drew is in the New England Patriots Hall of Fame.
