Which is the Second Ranked Power School of All-Time? (Factoid 681)
Date:
11/25/15
Faniacs has created an all-time Power School bracket and ranking. Our criteria are:
1. Number of wins
2. Number of National Championships
3. Consistent high level play
4. Number of Heisman winners
5. Number of Conference Championships
6. Historical Winning Percentage
7. National Championships in the BCS era and now the Playoff Era
The teams were all ranked accordingly. Scores were added up and the lowest score won.
The Michigan Wolverines are the second ranked power school of All-Time. Here is how they stacked up against other power schools.
Number of wins: 1
Number of National Championships: 2
Consistent high level play: 6
Number of Heisman winners: 4
Number of Conference Championships: 3
Historical Winning Percentage: 2
National Championships in the BCS era and now the Playoff Era: 4
We were actually surprised that the Wolverines finished second as they have not been at a high level during the BCS and Playoff era. Their historical winning record and winning percentage helped them.
