Art Schlichter holds the all-time passing record at Ohio State with 7,547 yards passing. Art played from 1978 to 1981. He passed for a 7.9 yards-per-pass average, 50 TDs, and 46 interceptions. Twenty of the interceptions came his freshmen year while 17 of his TDs came his senior year.

Schlichter threw the interception that ended Woody Hayes’ career. (Not really his fault. Woody’s temper was at fault when he hit the Clemson player.) Schlichter would evolve the next year under new head Coach Earle Bruce. The Buckeyes would go 11-1 and were two points away from winning the National Championship vs. USC. The Buckeyes lost in the Rose Bowl to Charles White and Anthony Muñoz by a score of 17-16.

Where is he now...?

Art Schlichter is presently doing ten years in a Federal Penitentiary for financial fraud...one of many times he has been in prison. What a waste of talent.
