Richard Sligh from North Carolina Central University was the tallest player ever to play College or Pro Football. He was seven feet tall. He would graduate with a biology major and chemistry minor and was ofen on the Dean’s List.

He was drafted as a defensive tackle by the AFL Oakland Raiders. He was a reserve for Super Bowl II. He only played the one season in 1967. It is hard to get the necessary leverage in football when you are that tall.
