So what can we deduce from these stats? Mariota: is the better athlete; throws a more accurate ball with less interceptions; is smarter; and doesn’t make trouble. Winston had more success in college and the experts believe he is a better thrower. We, however, think Mariota will have more success in the NFL: he has the physical skills; college results; smarts; and maturity to be a successful QB in the NFL.
