Running back O.J. Simpson from USC was the first pick of the 1969 NFL Draft. O.J. was drafted by the Buffalo Bills.

O.J. played for City College of San Francisco in 1965 and 1966 where he made the Junior College All-American team. He transferred to USC and was two-time All-American and he won the Walter Camp award in 1967. In 1968 he won the Heisman, the Maxell Award, and the Walter Camp award.

USC won the National championship in 1967, but lost to Woody Hayes’s super sophomore team in the 1969 Rose Bowl (1968 season) and in effect lost the “National Championship” game.

O.J. played in the NFL for eleven years. He was is six-time Pro Bowler. He is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame.

Presently O.J. is serving 15 years in prison for a robbery. A good example of when “keeping it real” goes bad.
