Running back Bo Jackson from the Auburn was the first pick of the 1986 NFL Draft. Bo was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Bo won the Heisman Trophy in 1985, was a consensus All American and was second in the nation in rushing with 1,786 yards. Bo also played baseball in college and was a start there as well.

Bo never played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, instead he would sign and play baseball for the Kansas City Royals. In 1987 draft Bo was the 183rd pick and was drafted by the Los Angeles Raiders for whom he would play.

Bo was a legitimate two sport pro athlete. In 1989 he had 105 RBIs and 32 home runs for the Royals and rushed for 950 yards for the Raiders.

In 1991 in a playoff victory against Cincinnati Bo broke his hip. This injury ended his football career and limited his baseball career. He continued to play baseball, but was never the same. He retired from baseball in 1994.
